Flight Deck Smoke Extraction in Commercial Transport Aircraft

A custom 28 VDC axial fan was developed for a Boeing commercial aircraft program to support flight deck smoke extraction as part of the Environmental Control System. Designed to operate during emergency conditions, the fan provides rapid air movement to clear smoke while remaining compatible with existing aircraft power infrastructure. Integration of soft‑start circuitry within the EMI filter helped mitigate inrush current issues, allowing the solution to meet aircraft electrical constraints without redesign of the surrounding system. 

Cabin and Cockpit Ventilation in Military Helicopters

The AC Max 375 has been qualified for use in military helicopter cockpit and cabin ventilation systems, where continuous vibration, altitude variation, and harsh environmental exposure drive demanding airflow requirements. Deployed in nose cone and occupied‑space applications, the fan supports consistent air circulation for crew environments while meeting rigorous MIL‑STD environmental qualification criteria, including shock, vibration, sand and dust, and salt fog. 

Crew Compartment Ventilation in Armored Ground Vehicles

The AC MAX 6 has been used across multiple armored ground vehicle platforms to support crew compartment ventilation within sealed and semi‑sealed environments. Designed to withstand extreme vibration, dust, and temperature exposure, the fan provides reliable airflow to occupied spaces while integrating with vehicle environmental control and CBRN architectures. Its rugged mechanical design and proven performance have supported long‑term deployment across several major vehicle programs. 

Shipboard Electronics Space Ventilation on Naval Vessels

The AC Aximax 3 has been deployed in shipboard environments to support ventilation of electronics spaces and sealed enclosures exposed to high humidity and salt fog. Used within naval electronics pods and cabinet systems, the fan provides consistent airflow under continuous duty cycles while meeting maritime environmental requirements. Its corrosion‑resistant design and qualification at the system level have supported reliable operation in demanding naval conditions.
